Four Steps on Your Path
to Leadership™
A 10-week developmental coaching programme
for high performers growing into leadership
A space to pause, see more clearly, connect more deeply
and lead with greater courage.
Moving from high performer into leadership
Why this programme exists
Leadership asks something different of us as we grow.
What once worked well as an expert, individual contributor or high performer may not be enough when you are leading people, navigating relationships, carrying pressure, influencing across systems and making decisions in uncertainty.
At a certain point, leadership becomes less about knowing more or doing more, and more about understanding what shapes how you see, react, relate and choose.
The work supports participants to notice their leadership issues on the surface from the deeper patterns shaping their reactions.
How the programme works at a glance
The programme combines individual coaching, small-group dialogue, developmental tools, courageous conversation and real-world organisational perspective.
Across 10 weeks, the programme combines individual coaching, small-group dialogue, developmental tools, courageous conversation and real-world organisational perspective.
The work supports participants to distinguish the leadership issue on the surface from the deeper pattern shaping their response.
Participants are supported to explore how they see, react, relate and choose in real leadership situations, with space to reflect, practise and integrate what they are learning into their work and leadership context.
Is this programme for you?
Are you feeling capable, but not always confident?
Are you navigating politics, conflict, change and ambiguity
Are you carrying pressure from above and below?
Are you sensing that what got you here as an expert or achiever may not get you there as a leader?
You may already be managing people, influencing across teams, leading projects, navigating senior stakeholders or carrying greater organisational responsibility.
This is not a remedial programme. It is for emerging leaders with potential, appetite and readiness to look more deeply at how they lead.

What the programme explores
-
This step explores the difference between reactive and creative leadership.
Participants begin to notice what happens within when they are under pressure, challenged, exposed, frustrated or uncertain. They explore how to move from protection, compliance or control towards greater presence, authenticity and integrity.
-
Participants consider the stories they carry about themselves, the experiences that shaped them, and how those stories influence their values, loyalties, assumptions and choices as leaders.
The work may gently move beneath the presenting leadership issue to reveal an older pattern that is shaping their leadership. The aim is not to dwell in the past, but to loosen the grip of the story and return to the leadership moment with more freedom.
-
This step explores the inner dynamics that set defense mechanisms, blind spots, passions and more that shape how a leader leads.
Using the Integrative Enneagram iEQ9®, participants begin to see how their inner dynamics can also become constraints and limitations.
The aim is not to label people, but to give them a more expansive and compassionate map of their inner operating system shaping our meaning making. -
This pathway explores worldview and sense-making capacity. Using MyWorldView®.
Participants explore their primary fall back and emerging stage of leadership and how they make sense of complexity, power, conflict and change.
Participants gain a map of leadership maturity, an orientation to where they are, and a vision of where their leadership journey may be asking them to grow next.
The programme is built around four paths into a leader’s inner world.
Each pathway offers a practical way to explore the patterns, stories, dynamics and levels of maturity that shape how someone leads.

A 10-week virtual developmental journey grounded in real leadership challenges, guided reflection, group dialogue and practical integration.
A guided leadership
developmental path
Each participant brings a real leadership challenge into the programme.
This becomes the thread that keeps the work practical, personal and grounded in their actual leadership context.
Across the 10 weeks, participants explore how they see, react, relate and choose under pressure.
This is where leadership growth begins.

Client Testimonials from Emerging Leaders
Leading with greater authenticity, confidence and intention
In Grant’s Emerging Leadership programme, I became more aware of the way I had been leading, quietly, carefully, leaning on competence, something I could look at honestly and change.
The programme works with the inner game of leadership and goes deep, through the Enneagram, my Leadership Origin story and My World View.
Grant brought the frameworks to life, reading situations with clarity, calling out subtle shifts and things going unsaid. He helped me move into greater awareness and more choice.
I came out of this leading with far more authenticity, confidence and intention.

Questions & Answers
-
It includes elements of all three, but is best understood as a developmental coaching experience.
Participants are introduced to useful frameworks and tools, but the emphasis is on reflection, dialogue, experimentation and application to real leadership challenges.
-
It is not for participants who simply want tips, techniques or a conventional leadership training course.
It is also not appropriate as a performance management intervention. It is best suited to people who are curious, reflective, coachable and willing to engage honestly with their own development.
-
We alternate between Group Dialogue sessions, usually 90 minutes, held at a fixed time and day for the full cohort and Individual one-to-one coaching sessions scheduled separately and can usually be arranged within an agreed time window with your Coach.
-
Each participant brings a real leadership challenge into the programme.
This might involve speaking up, giving feedback, managing conflict, influencing stakeholders, leading through ambiguity, handling pressure, or stepping more fully into role and personal authority.
The challenge does not need to be dramatic. It simply needs to be real, current and meaningful enough to work with on the programme.
-
No. The programme may explore deeper patterns, stories or experiences that shape how a person leads, but it does so in service of leadership development. It does not diagnose, treat or dwell in the past.
-
It’s designed and delivered so it’s practical, not superficial.
Reflective, not abstract.
Personal, not therapeutic.
Discovery tool-informed, not tool-led.
Why I designed and offer this programme

I bring senior organisational experience to my coaching practice, understanding the realities of leadership pressure, complexity and transition.
I have seen many capable people step into leadership because they are good at what they do. But know that leadership asks for more than expertise, performance or technical skill. It asks people to navigate pressure, relationships, ambiguity, conflict, expectation and change, often without enough space to understand what is shaping their response.
This programme is designed to create that space.
It supports participants to look beneath the visible behaviours of leadership and explore the patterns, assumptions, motivations, stories and worldviews that influence how they see, react, relate and choose under pressure.
The work is practical, developmental and grounded in real leadership experience.
Participants bring a current leadership challenge into the programme and use it as a thread for reflection, coaching, peer learning and integration.
The programme combines individual coaching, small-group dialogue, developmental tools, courageous conversation and real-world organisational perspective.
This is a structured developmental space for capable leaders who are ready to understand themselves more clearly, relate with more maturity, and lead with greater steadiness, presence and choice.
